The Cayenne Pepper Diet is a 10-day fast that is used for both detoxing and weight loss. You may have heard it called the Master Cleanser Diet after the book that was published about it, the Lemonade Diet, the Maple Syrup Diet, after the ingredients used, and the Beyoncé Diet after the famous singer.
Although the Cayenne Pepper Diet is often referred to as a fast, it’s not really a true fast. You will consume up to 1,300 calories every day from the maple syrup in the drink.
Does it Work?
Does the diet work for weight loss? If you commit to the whole ten days, it will most certainly work. Any fast will help you lose weight because you aren’t eating food. The Cayenne Pepper Diet is not a fast, in the strict sense, because you drink a considerable amount of sugar-laden lemonade (650-1,300 calories per day), depending upon how much you drink. So, in essence, you create a calorie deficit. Most people require 1,600 to 2,400 calories per day to maintain their weight.
About The Detox
Be real: you’re mostly interested in the Cayenne Pepper Diet for weight loss, although it’s hard to admit. But, what about the detox benefits?
Our body is very efficient at expelling toxins. Many people believe that there is no need to detoxify because our bodies will do this perfectly for us. However, in our modern environment it makes prudent sense to give it some help.
Detoxing means removing poisons from your body. Once they’re flushed out, energy and vigor returns … you feel vital, happy and healthy. It’s those residual poisons that make us feel lethargic, mentally sluggish, irritable and unhappy. Consequently, you should be looking forward to detoxification with the Cayenne Pepper Diet.
Although your main goal is probably weight loss, don’t overlook the wonderful benefits to detoxing to kick start your path to wellness.

The holiday’s are a great time of enjoyment. We love our families, get togethers, family and friends. And food. Food is an integral and wonderful part of celebrating and we indulge ourselves. It can be a time of calorie-dense food, rich desserts, and simply too much alcohol. By the end of the holidays, you feel tired, sick of leftovers, and likely wishing you had a holiday to cleanse yourself of all the calories you have consumed. So why not try a post-holiday detox?
