If I Try the Cayenne Pepper Diet and Cheat, Will It Still Work?

strawberriesSo on day 1 or Day 2 your resolve deserts you and suddenly you are faced with the reality that you have committed to TEN days on the Cayenne Pepper Diet eating no food and drinking nothing but lemonade. Gulp.

The question is if you will blow the fast if you eat some food. And that depends on how much and for how long you eat. If you nosh on something becasue you “just can’t take it” then you really haven’t done serious damange to your plan. However, if you have returned to eating full meals and you’ve gone the whole day or even two, you may need to consider a diet reboot.

Physically it’s better if you stick to the detox as planned because the intent is to mobilize and eliminate toxins and waste from your body. It is obvious that you don’t want to be putting things back into your body that could interfere with that. Mentally, it’s also better to commit to the plan and stick with it.

I would advise NOT to restart the diet if it’s a small cheat. The consequences of the cheat are minimal and if you restart every time the road is a little rough then you will never finish. If, on the other hand, your hunger has transformed you into a ravenous beast and you just ate the an entire ham, you should restart.

Better yet, pick a more reasonable goal for the Cayenne Pepper Diet. Start with just three days and congratulate yourself when you achieve that.
