When first beginning the Cayenne Pepper Diet also referred to as the Lemon Maple Syrup and Cayenne Pepper Diet, you will see lots of references to Grade B maple syrup. Why the focus on that particular grade?

First, take a look at the syrup bottles in the image. These bottles hold the grades of Vermont maple syrup. From left to right, Vermont Fancy, light amber color, delicate maple bouquet; Grade A Medium Amber, medium amber color, pronounced maple bouquet; Grade A Dark Amber, dark amber color, robust maple bouquet; Grade B, darkest color, strong maple bouquet.

Grade B is recommended for the Cayenne Pepper Diet because is has the strongest flavor and is more dense in nutrients. In truth, Grade A syrup will also work equally well for the cleanse. Don’t get too hung up on the grade of the syrup. The MOST important thing is that it’s pure maple syrup and all natural. If you can get organic, buy it.
