If you’ve never heard of the lemonade diet, it is essentially a 10-day fast that consists of drinking only a “lemonade diet drink”. Also known as the Cayenne Pepper Diet or Master Cleanse, it’s a very well known regime for cleaning out your intestines and colon. In fact, it’s been around for over 60 years.
Not intended originally as a weight loss diet, it achieves that by helping you detox your body and resetting your metabolism. Drinking the lemonade diet drink will often result in weight loss, both from fat release and expulsion of impacted fecal matter.
The Lemonade Diet Drink Recipe Is Simple
Below are two different recipes. The first is for a single serving of the lemonade diet drink
. The second will make 6 servings
#1 (single serving):
* 2 Tablespoons of organic lemon Juice (about 1/2 a Lemon)
* 2 Tablespoons of Organic grade B maple syrup (not the commercial maple flavored syrup you use on pancakes)
* 1/10 Teaspoon Cayenne pepper powder
* Ten ounces of filtered water
#2 (60 oz. daily serving):
* 60 ounces of filtered water
* 12 Tablespoons of organic grade B maple syrup
* 12 Tablespoons of organic lemon juice
* 1/2 Teaspoon cayenne pepper powder
